Oscar 2011 Red Carpet

Hailee Steinfeld wore an adorable Marchesa crystal hand embroidered tulle tea length dress which is designed by her with Georgina Chapman. The pale pink shade looks great against her skin tone. She completed her age-appropriate look with vintage Fred Leighton jewels, Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and open-toe pumps. She styled her hair into a playful updo and accessorized with Fred Leighton thin hairband. The hairband makes her looks young and age appropriate.
The stunning Cate Blanchett wore a lilac Givenchy Spring 2011 Haute Couture gown with beads details. The graceful gown has a dramatic cross open back. She completed her look with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.
Halle Berry wore a stunning nude and crystal encrusted Marchesa corset gown with organza and silk tulle ruffles train. She also wore Christian Louboutin heels.
Jennifer Lawrence looks gorgeous in a custom made red Calvin Klein Collection gown. This dress fits her like a glove. I love her blow-perfect hair. She accessorized with Chopard jewelry, Judith Leiber bag and Jimmy Choo "New Lancer" sandals.
Hilary Swank wore a breathtaking Gucci Premiere strapless evening gown with sequins and ombre feathers details. She carried a Roger Vivier clutch.
Mila Kunis wore a lavender Elie Saab gown from Spring 2011 Haute Couture collection. The breathtaking gown has tiered lace detailing and a grosgrain ribbon waist. She finished her look with Neil Lane jewelry and Bottega Veneta Crocodile Knot Clutch.
Michelle Williams wore a white beaded Chanel Spring 2011 Haute Couture gown, Harry Winston jewels, and Jimmy Choo’s “Cosmic” platform pumps. I love the shape and texture of the gown. Elegance.
Natalie Portman won the best actress award for her role in Black Swan. She wore a violet custom made Rodarte gown with Tiffany & Co. jewels, Jimmy Choo heels and Roger Vivier clutch.
Oscar host Anne Hathaway wore a Valentino Fall 2002 Couture gown. The red taffeta strapless dress has a train with floral appliqué. Beautiful as always.
Amy Adams wore a L'Wren Scott beaded dress. It's beautiful, but I think has way too much jewelry. She wore $1.35 million Cartier emerald and diamond jewelry.
Nicole Kidman wore a white strapless Dior Spring 2009 Couture dress. She completed her look with Fred Leighton's 19th century diamond Riviere necklace and Pierre Hardy peep toe pumps. Her hair is actually styled into a ponytail. Frankly, I don't like her messy bangs.
Mandy Moore wore a nude Monique Lhuillier spring 2011 gown with sequins detailing. Although this look is beautiful, but it lacks suprise.
Celine Dion looks divine in her simple Armani Privé white luminescent gown.
Sandra Bullock wore a chili red Vera Wang strapless gown with Jimmy Choo Vita sandals (which we couldn't see here) and matching red exotic clutch. Her hair seems to age her. Maybe she should let her hair down.
Jennifer Hudson shows her new body with an orange Atelier Versace gown with a draped bodice and folded skirt with a full train. She looks great and full of confidence.
Reese Witherspoon wore a black and white Armani Privé gown with Neil Lane jewelry. Graceful as always.
Probably Scarlett Johasson should save her Elie Saab dress for Oscar. This bordeaux Dolce & Gabbana gown is quite boring.
Matthew McConaughey's girlfriend Camila Alves wore a Kaufman Franco dress with full skirt, Stuart Weitzman shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Kotur bag.
Gwyneth Paltrow went minimalism in a Calvin Klein Collection dress. She finished off her look with Brian Atwood’s gold leather “Martina” pumps, earrings, brooch, and ring from Louis Vuitton’s jewelry collection, L’Ame du Voyage. Her hair is super sleek and simple, also minimalism.
Florence Welch has her own unique style and I love it very much. But now, I think she should stick to her usual Elie Saab rather than wearing other brand. Every time she wears Elie Saab, it would be a jaw-dropping moment. This time she chose to wear a Valentino Couture gown. I like the upper part, but the maxi dress doesn't work for me. She accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
Marisa Tomei wore a 1950 couture Charles James dress from Lily et Cie. It gives me a feeling that this gown is unfinished. Thumbs down.
Helena Bonham Carter...what else to say? Pure Disaster. At least she didn't wear mismatched shoes. I only like her unique fan clutch.

Alexander Wang Large Emile Tote

I have always looking for a perfect bag.It must be durable, timeless and functional. Seem like Alexander Wang Large Emile Tote from his Spring 2011 collection fits into these categories easily. When I set my eyes on this bag, I know it---this is the perfect bag I'm looking for, even though I think that satchel are more functional, but this tote has more room and space. It has a shape similar with Yves Saint Laurent downtown bag (what a coincidence! Alex Wang is also known for his downtown vibe design.). For a person who doesn't have two thousand grand to splurge on bag, this tote which price is under a thousand grand is a good and cool option. Plus, it has a shoulder strap. I love the gold hardware and metal corner details of the bag. They add some edginess to the bag, and they also protect the leather from wear. It has four version to choose from, but I love the eggshell leather version the most. The simplicity of ivory white leather makes the gold details stand out.

Victoria Beckham Fall 2011

Victoria Beckham's style is sophisticated, structured and emphasize on woman's shape. For the past five seasons, she debuted dresses which have hourglass shape and ladylike silhouette. This season, she loosen her silhouette more by introducing dresses that are not cinched at the waist, which is not her usual style. With a baby on board, she still can wear her own design during pregnancy. The colour palette for the show is magenta, vermilion, yellow, grey and blue. Last season, her bags are hits among fashionistas, thus she adds coats and shoes into her line this season. Those beautiful boots are by Christian Louboutin. I especially love the knee length berry-coloured boots.
The show opened with nomad dress, with attached hoodie and front pocket detail.

The first coat of the collection, a bright vermilion coat with buckled neck detail.
Victoria's nightmare dress-a v-neck tunic, which is also great with a turtleneck.

This is actually a dress, with a cashmere wrap, fitted skirt and belt. This design reflects the lifestyle of Victoria who flies frequently. One can be chic and warm at airport at the same time.

Victoria's version of the trench, which is a lot more different than those we usually see. It is simple and minimalism.
The new cocoon dress, which has lots of space for Victoria's growing bump.

This halterneck dress has similar silhouette with one of Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2011 dress, but they have different feel. Michael's version is modern Grecian god while Victoria's version is more free-spirit.

Victoria Beckham's bags have classic structured shape, yet functional. She steps out from the structured design by adding sack bag and messenger bag to her new collection.
