Chanel Pre-Fall 2011

The season's theme, Paris-Byzance, was inspired by the Empress Theodora and the lost culture of Byzantium. The collection gives us a royalty feel, with a touch of elegance.

Peacoat with gold detailing
simple yet elegant
somehow, the criss-cross pattern reminds me of balmain

the zip-up stocking boots are to die for
Dresses with mosaic embroidery

loose-fitting, white duchesse-satin jacket, cut like a casual shirt and embroidered to resemble stained glass, worn over full, silk-velvet corde du roi trousers

I could see Victoria Beckham in this coat

Freja looks like a byzantine empress

love the turquoise colour of the sweater
